We will ensure the quality and efficiency of your Chinese Immersion course to the greatest extent possible.

Each student will be assigned a Chinese teacher with a minimum of two years of teaching experience, and a course supervising teacher with ten years of teaching experience, both of them are accredited by National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.and hold Master's degrees from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Our signature program is the 1-on-1 immersive course is the most effective Mandarin Course.

The course lasts from 1 week to 3 months based on the student 's plan and schedule.

Customized to accommodate the schedules and learning preferences of each student, our classes are designed to span from 4 to 6 hours per day, 5 days a week. This immersion Mandarin course guarantees noticeable progress in just a matter of days!

Prior to the course commencement, your teacher will schedule a pre-course zoom call with you to assess your study requirements and determine your Chinese proficiency level. This call is an opportunity for you to meet your teacher via video call, and for the teacher to gain a better understanding of your learning preferences in order to prepare for your classes.

After the pre-course assessment, Co-Chinese's professional teachers will customize the course content to meet your specific study needs, providing an exceptionally effective approach to learning Chinese.

We are committed to fulfilling your study requirements to the best of our ability. Students come to Co-Chinese with diverse learning purposes. Some may aim to achieve their exam goals during the summer break, while others need to prepare for a business trip in a few weeks. However, the majority of our students seek to systematically study Chinese. We offer a range of courses, including the HSK
course. If you're planning to take an HSK exam, we can also provide assistance with the registration process.

When it comes to textbooks, you can rest assured as we offer a wide range of options, including our self-developed Chinese beginner course. It's worth mentioning that students who have utilized this textbook in our immersive 1-on-1 courses have successfully passed the HSK Level 1 exam within just one month!

Alternatively, you can choose other textbooks to support your learning. We provide original physical textbooks and workbooks. Let us know your learning needs, and we will customize the course for you.

If you are planning to achieve fluency in Chinese during a gap year, you can upgrade your course to a long-term program at any time. Email us, and we will provide you with a free customized plan.
If you're interested in enrolling in our long-term Chinese course, you'll benefit from 20 hours of classes per week for a minimum duration of three months or more.

Throughout your learning journey, we will provide you with two dedicated Chinese teachers who specialize in different areas. One teacher will focus on enhancing your listening and speaking skills, while the other will assist you with reading and writing. Additionally, a supervising teacher will regularly assess your Chinese proficiency, ensuring your learning experience is optimized and adjusted accordingly.

Our course content is customized to meet your specific needs and Chinese proficiency level. We offer a range of options and will develop a tailored learning plan for you. For beginners with no prior knowledge of Chinese, we recommend our self-developed Chinese beginner course. Students who have used this textbook in our 1-on-1 immersive courses have successfully passed the HSK Level 1 exam within one month. Alternatively, you can choose other textbooks to support your learning, and we will provide you with official physical textbooks and workbooks.

Our long-term immersion course has proven successful. One of our Co-Chinese students achieved mastery of Chinese within 9 months starting from zero, while another European university student, who initially had an HSK2 level, progressed to HSK6 within 6 months through our course.

Group Immersion Course

Our immersive course is our flagship program, this is a highly effective short-term program with maxium 3 students.

Each group of students is assigned one or two professional Chinese teacher along with a course supervising teacher, all the teachers are certified and holds master degree on Teaching Chinese as an International Language.

Prior to the start of the course, you will receive a form requesting your basic study needs and learning experience. Additionally, the teacher will conduct a pre-course zoom call with you to assess your Chinese proficiency and prepare your personalized course content. You can register the course with your friends as a group, or you can register individually and we will find other students who can start the course on the same date as you.

Depending on the students' availability, classes range from 4 to 6 hours a day.

The course content is tailored to meet the specific needs of our students, and we offer a wide range of choices to accommodate different learning preferences. Additionally, we provide original physical study materials to support your learning journey.

The course will primarily focus on enhancing your Chinese listening and speaking skills, while also covering reading and typing. If you're aiming for an exam or pursuing academic objectives, our standard approach involves assigning two dedicated Chinese teachers to your class. One instructor will specialize in honing your Chinese listening and speaking abilities, while the other will provide guidance in Chinese reading and writing. Moreover, our dedicated course supervisor will remain accessible around the clock to offer assistance and support for your Chinese language learning journey.

Group classes are typically not recommended for durations exceeding 3 months, unless you can form your own group and ensure the consistent, long-term participation of all members. However, for ongoing studies, you have the option to make a transition to a 1-on-1 immersion class after completing your group class.

Pre-course Assessment: Before the courses officially commence, you will participate in online discussions with your Chinese teachers and supervising teacher. Based on your learning needs and Chinese proficiency level, we will proactively curate and prepare your course content and materials. If you have any expectations or questions, please feel free to communicate them during the pre-course assessment call or contact us anytime.

updating class notes: Starting from the pre-course assessment, you will have your own online learning folder. We will upload the notes for each lesson here, along with any other relevant materials for your Chinese learning. This allows you to access and study them anywhere and anytime.

Regular Learning Assessments: Depending on the duration of the course, teachers will conduct various forms of assessments every two weeks or monthly to track your progress.Adjustments to your course may be made if necessary.

HSK Preparation (if needed): If you require HSK preparation, we will assist you with the registration process and provide the necessary exam materials.

Q：Can I request to adjust the course during the program?

A：Certainly, you can make adjustments to your course at any time. If you have any requests regarding the course content, class duration, learning pace, or if you feel that the assigned teacher is not suitable, please contact your advisor. We will make the necessary adjustments based on your needs. Throughout the learning process, feel free to communicate any concerns or suggestions to your advisor.

Q：Is studying four to six hours a day too much?

A：Immersive learning has shown excellent results, and our courses are designed to be interesting so that you won't feel bored. Based on the experiences of previous students, studying four to six hours a day has been found to be the most effective method. For a five or six-hour study schedule, there is a one-hour break included. For a four-hour study schedule, the lunch break is arranged based on the students' learning habits and needs. The immersive course will greatly accelerate your progress in learning Chinese. Our students with no foundations can achieve everyday communication skills in Chinese within two months. Students at HSK3 level can reach HSK6 level within six months and start using Chinese in their work.

Q：How many teachers will I have?

A：We will assign 1-3 Chinese teachers and one advisor teacher based on the duration of your study program and your needs. The teachers will discuss and arrange your Chinese courses according to your learning progress. Whether you have one teacher or multiple teachers, Co-Chinese ensures the quality of your Chinese learning experience.

Q：At Co-Chinese, will I learn to write Chinese characters?

A：For beginners, we prioritize listening, speaking, and reading skills. Writing characters is part of the experience, guided by our teachers. As you progress, we emphasize listening, speaking, reading, and typing. If you're more advanced or preparing for exams like HSK, we'll practice writing too. Long-term learners get two teachers—one focuses on speaking and listening, the other on reading and writing, with an emphasis on reading.

Q：I have learned some Chinese before, but my friend has never learned Chinese. However, we want to study Chinese together in a group. Is that possible?

A：Certainly! It is common to have students with different levels of Chinese proficiency in the same class. Our experienced teachers can customize the courses for you and your friend. However, we recommend grouping together with students who have a similar level of proficiency. This approach will be more effective for everyone's learning.The grouping requires the permission of each group member.

Also, don't forget that besides your classmates, we have other friends in the Co-Chinese Community. We organize various activities after class and on weekends for everyone to participate in.

Q：Can I switch from group classes to 1on1 classes if I initially signed up for group classes?

A：It is possible to switch from group classes to individual classes, and you can try a few individual classes as a trial. However, there may be a price difference that needs to be paid for the switch.

Q：How many teachers will I have?

A：We must be honest and say that 1on1 courses can achieve better learning outcomes, especially for students willing to learn Chinese within a certain amount of time. For example, a student who wants to become proficient in Chinese during a gap year and have conversations fluently with native speakers can achieve this goal with 9-month individual course. Co-Chinese also provides guidance for students preparing for the HSK exam if they need it.

However, group courses also have their own benefits. You will have classmates to study with, and if you have 20-30 hours of group classes per week, you can still learn Chinese efficiently in a relatively short period of time. In Co-Chinese, our group courses consist of 2-3 students, and they all can achieve the course objectives after their studies. We also provide guidance and suggestions for their Chinese learning after they return to their home country, making it convenient for them to continue their studies.

Q：What are the class hours for Co-Chinese?

A：Co-Chinese's class timings are from Monday to Friday, 8:00-17:00 Singapore time. Both group classes and individual immersive classes generally start on Mondays. However, if you are taking individual immersive classes or have formed your own group class, you can inform Co-Chinese of your preferred class timings, and Co-Chinese will do the best to accommodate your schedule.

Adjustments to class timings can be discussed with the course supervisor.
